Bola Ahmed Tinubu is declared the winner of the 2023 Nigerian Presidential elections.
The results are out and The All Progressive Congress (APC)'s Bola Ahmed Tinubu becomes the president-elect of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. He won with over 37% of the votes beating his rival Atiku Abukakar with 29% of the votes and the youth's choice Peter Obi with 25% of the votes.
The "Jagaban" of Lagos has gotten his wanted victory in the Presidency. Many were jubilating in the western side of the nation while others were protesting in other areas of the nation including the FCT and his home state, Lagos.
He was announced the winner in the early morning hours of Wednesday by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) Chairman after Borno state in the Northwest of the state submitted her results. He won the elections with 8794726 votes while his rival Atiku got 6984520 and Peter Obi with 6101533 votes.
The reaction of politicians and the people after Tinubu's win.
The people did not accept Tinubu as the President-elect because INEC rigged the election by adding more votes to Tinubu. Knowing he was losing in many polling units in the nation and Atiku Abubakar and Peter Obi were winning both the northern and southern areas in the country. The citizens vowed that they won't vote for APC after eight years of misery, corruption, killings and oppression in the nation.
Peter Obi is going to court to testify about the rigging in the 2023 presidential election by INEC as the votes weren't legitimate and the electoral malpractices on the 25 of February which was not meant to give Tinubu that high score. And the fact that he was gaining more votes in the north without knowing that the Hausas will choose either Atiku or Kwankwaso.
Nigerians on the other hand are not going to accept that. Most of them are planning with immediate effect to leave the nation especially when Tinubu has announced the winner of the election. Some are protesting in many cities while some are keeping calm and waiting for what will happen afterwards. Peter Obi told the people to not protest and that they should watch what will happen afterwards, the sorrow and the suspicion of what the new Nigerian government will do is still in the hands of the future.
The future and the past of Nigerians.
The Future of the nation is not going to be predictable and is not going to be certain as well. The country is in a serious recession since 2015 and even before 2015 due to the corruption rate in the nation. The people remained strong not to protest because if they do, the corrupted government will send their army to kill those who talk against them. The country has been in a series of corruption by the dirty politicians who are only in the power Just because of the country's wealth and as well to be in power. In 2020 #endSARS protest, almost 800 people were killed by the Nigerian Army at the Lekki Toll gate the killing is due to the people saying their minds about the government and the corrupt shot them down so that it will not reach the world about. eventually, it reached the world and the world knows about it and many corrupt politicians wanted to shut down the Legacy Media by telling them that should not put their mouth on the matter.
Corruption in Nigeria is something that everybody's battling, from education to offices to areas to communities to cities to houses to hospitals to roads to institutions to the people to tribes to religion to systems to everything. It is something everyone has been living with in Nigeria. People eventually believed that money answers all things even on things that does not requires money. Bribery unfortunately is what is moving on over the people killing the value of money in order to get whatever they want, people killing their self-value due to money to get whatever they want it is due to the failed government and politicians that the country have.
Corruption and bribery are even in the law agents today. Every time a policeman wants to solve a case he will tell the complaint that he should give them an amount of money before opening the case and even when somebody wants to go to do an arrest for the complaints, they have to pay them an amount of money for them to go to make an arrest. And lastly they always say that bail is free but to release the accused, the bailer must pay an amount of money to release the arrested depending on the case and unfortunately, we all know that in very serious cases like murder and trafficking the offendant must be judged and can only be bailed in prison if he/she is sentenced depending if the case is serious. But in Nigerian Police Stations, one must pay a huge amount of money for bail. This is due to the small amount of salary they pay to the police officers and other government officials which is not above average the price of their expenses which is making the youths do fraudulent activities to eat, criminal activities and amongst others to survive in the nation. Prices of food items and other resources skyrocketing also the rate of deprivation increasing.
It is not as if Nigerians could not survive all this, they have a strong endurance to all these and even if it will go for years, the oung en believe that it will be all over, but due to pressure from women, peers who are already rich and even their mothers and loved ones, they have to do things legitimate and illegitimate in other to surpass them, due to the rate of recession.
All the youths put hope in Labour Party's Peter Obi to win. He was the former governor of Anambra State, and he empowered the youth with skills and taught them how to become successful. He developed Anambra state but he was impeached seven months after he took over the office in March 2006 he was impeached because he refused to inflate the budget of the state meaning to increase the price of every expense in the state instead of leaving it in the normal price, he is a good and intelligent man and the whole country put hope upon him as he can remove the corruption in the nation but the corrupted did not allow him to take over the nation by the suspected case of election rigging.
But we don't know about Bola Ahmed Tinubu's governance. When Tinubu was ruling Lagos, he developed it and made the state clean. He even built some advanced infrastructure in Lagos that is still functioning till now but the reason Nigerians don't want him to rule is that he is old, sick and he is the member of the most hated party in the country,
But will Bola Ahmed Tinubu be a good ruler or another corrupt ruler?
