BUSINESS IS BUSINESS.

BUSINESS IS BUSINESS: Young Thug's surprise album.

Young Thug finally shocked his fans with the big project he has been working on, indeed a shocker. People thought that Young Thug will be off-music due to him being in jail for 1 year and a month but he proved it wrong, everyone thought that what he announced on Instagram was just a countdown of his release from jail but it was still in doubt from others because he has a case next month and also everyone was thinking that he would drop an album but others doubted because one cannot record any song in jail but those who predicted that it was s album he wants to release got it right. Young Thug dropped an album to spice up this summer as well to show that he is still active in the rap game and coming to surprise those who thought he won't be in the music industry again due to his arrest. Young Thug finally shocked all at midnight on June 23rd 2023 (23-6-23) with a 15-track album exclusively produced by his old-time producer Metro Boomin who also announced the album alongside Young Thug.

This is Young Thug's first project he dropped while in jail and it is a project he was working on after releasing his second studio album "Punk" The project started in 2021 but it got interrupted in May 2022 due to his arrest. He was working seriously on the album in 2022 since his label got a number 1 billboard chart by Gunna's "DS4EVER" he was set to release it later of last year but the arrest just kept Thug quiet on the music industry.

Since the track was a project Thug was working on between 2021 and 2022, he did not even mention anything about his case or the situation he is in, instead, he mentions everything just like a normal rapper says in their lyrics: Money, Drugs, Sex, Luxurious Cars, Private Jets and Yachts, Mansions, Murder, Gang Stories, Diss Lines, Gratitude etc. The total length of the album is 46:40.

"BUSINESS IS BUSINESS" was first announced on June 16, 2023 as a QR Code on Instagram with the caption: "BUSINESS IS BUSINESS", which will lead to a countdown clock when scanned, producer Metro Boomin and other rappers and producers like Drake, Chance the Rapper, Gunna, Don Toliver, Quavo, Doe Boy, Lil Durk, 21 Savage, G Herbo, Ty Dolla Sign, Chase B, London on da Track, Southside and Wheezy also shared the QR Code on their Social Media Pages.

"BUSINESS IS BUSINESS"  and Gunna's: "a gift and a curse" the difference and the criticism from fans.

Gunna and Young Thug released their studio albums in the same month, Gunna released his fourth studio album "a gift and a curse" on June 16 and one week later, Young Thug released his Third Studio album: "BUSINESS IS BUSINESS". The day Gunna released his studio album was when Young Thug announced it on Instagram and other platforms about it, Gunna started recording his album immediately after he got released from jail 6 months ago and he even started to drop music videos on his tracks, it is a 15-track album with no feature and it was talking about what Gunna went through in jail, how people started switching sides on him after his plea deal and how the court and the lawyers deceived him to take the Alfred plea. While Young Thug started recording the album while he was still free, a 15-track album with features of Drake, 21 Savage, Travis Scott, Yak Gotti, Lil Uzi Vert, Bslime, Lil Gotti and Nate Ruess. It has no feature of Gunna like every album or track he released or it might be one but he did not include it on the album,  it talks about all the normal lifestyle every ordinary rapper experiences and he said nothing about his arrest due it was his old project he was set to release later in 2022.

The cover of "BUSINESS IS BUSINESS" is a picture of Thug in a courtroom with the colour being black and white, the picture was released some hours before he dropped the album while the cover of "a gift and a curse" is a painting of Gunna with a skull on his head with some flowers on it. The cover of the album was released on Gunna 30th birthday, two days before the release of the album, both album tracks were at Apple Music top 15 in June and the majority of it were from "BUSINESS IS BUSINESS" that just got released a few hours ago.

"BUSINESS IS BUSINESS" became more hyped by other rappers, even rappers that Thug did not ask for a feature. Many gave Thug accolades on his album but Gunna did not get a repost nor even accolades from the rappers and producers who always collaborated with him despite not asking for any feature from them, it might be Gunna the first time to be ignored by his rappers who always collaborate with him after his plea deal and his fans who always stoo but Gunna did not care at all, after dropping the album,  he became free and he went back to his lifestyle and making his money on his album. It was also reported that Gunna has unfollowed his old time collaborators on Instagram: Lil Baby and Lil Durk after they switched sides and unfollowed him as well.

But we are yet to hear from Young Thug and to decide about the matter, more posts about Young Thug will be made in the future.
