Chelsea did some cleaning and adding in this summer transfer window. Dismissing legends and buying future stars might have a impact of change in this season.
Chelsea had a very bad days in the 2022/2023 season by bad coaching, unnecessary spending of money on new players on January transfers, inadequate changing of coaches to bad ones, it is unfortunately that the team ended on the 12th position and nearly entering the relegation line and not qualifying for any European competition next season but they are doing amends so that they won't do the same mistake next season. Mauricio Pochettino is buying players wisely and carefully watching the player's important potentials and style so that it will make his style of coaching more progressive and unbeatable.

1. Christopher Nkunku.
The Frenchman is a special legend for RB Leipzig. By scoring 35 goals in every competition in 2021/2022, named Bundesliga Player of the season, German PFA Player of the season and winning the DFB-Pokal. He helped RB Leipzig to secure a spot for 2023/2024 Champions League by putting the team in third position in Bundesliga by scoring 23 goals this season.
The 25-year old was a midfielder in Paris Saint-Germain before he took courage and became a skillful forward that massively contributed for RB Leipzig with his massive goals and his skills of play. In Paris Saint-Germain, he made 78 appearances and was involved when the team won 3 Ligue 1 titles and two Coupe de France before saying goodbye to the team to Leipzig in the summer of 2019.
2. Nicolas Jackson.
The Senegal player signed a eight year contract with Chelsea in the end of June of 2023 all the way from Villareal. The Gambian-Senegalese was raised in Senegal and started his career at Senegal Premier League side Casa Sports and moved to Villarreal in September 2019.
His first taste of senior European football started when Villarreal loaned him out to the Mirandes before he joined the B-Squad of Villarreal and helped to get a promotion from the third tier. He became self-established in 2022 by making 38 appearances for Villarreal in the senior set-up. After ending the season with nine goals in the final eight matches in the season, he ended the La Liga campaign with the La Liga Player of the month in May.
3. Angelo Gabriel.
Gabriel made a move to Chelsea all the way from Santos to join the blue family.
The Brazilian arrived to Stamford Bridge with a experience of senior football even though he is just 18 years old. He made 129 appearances for Santos in all competitions before joining the blue family.
4. Malo Gusto (Return from loan).
Malo Gusto made a permanent signing to Chelsea from Lyon in January of 2023 but Lyon used him as loan for the rest of the 2022/23 season to finish his development in Ligue 1.
The talented young player went well on his Youth days in Lyon and made his debut in January 2021. All thanks to his skillful defense tactics, the 20-year old was a regular for Lyon in France and in Europe. Contributing four assists in 30 Ligue 1 appearances and helping the team to reach the Quarterfinals of Europa League.
5. Romelu Lukaku. (Return from loan).
Lukaku is going back to Chelsea this season after he has been loaned to his former club Inter Milan this season. But he had interest to be in the club permanently but Inter Milan has no move to sign him.
His last appearance in the team was on the final of Champions League where his side was defeated. The was benched but played on the second half but he blocked DiMarco goal and he did various attempts on the goalpost, but did not succeed. He appeared 17 times in the whole season and scored 14 times whereby three of the goals were in the Champions League campaign.
6. Diego Moreira.
All the way from Benfica, the 18-year old is from a footballing family. His father played for the Guinea-Bissau international team.
He joined Benfica in 2020 and contributed in the club in their triumph of the 2022 UEFA Youth league. He gave two assists that he used to destroy Salzburg with 6-0. He made his first senior debut in May of 2022 against Pacos de Ferreira and being regularly featured for Benfica second team since 2022/23.
7. Callum Hudson-Odoi.(Return from loan).
Hudson-Odoi is a Chelsea veteran with talent and ambition to do more in the field. The joined the team since his Under-8 days and made his first debut with Chelsea in January 2018 and made a lot of contributions to the club in the past 5 years.
On August 30 2022, Hudson-Odoi went to Bayer Leverkusen where he made incredible contributions to the team. He scored in the Champions League on a 2-2 draw away to Atletico Madrid but due to the injury he had he just played only 21 times in all competitions.
